What is a World Expo? How will Rotterdam organize this huge project? And is Rotterdam ready? These and other questions will be answered on January 30th in the Rotterdam Central Library (Hoogstraat 110) between 16:00 and 17:00 pm. You are cordially invited!
In 2014 Rotterdam appeared on various international lists and the number of tourists is increasing. Recently a number of new architectural eye-catchers have been completed in Rotterdam, such as the Markthal (MVRDV) and De Rotterdam (OMA), but will these new buildings create lasting jobs for the community? Are the economy of Rotterdam and the port of Rotterdam prepared for a future in which the port is no longer the largest in the world? If not in quantity, can Rotterdam compete with the rest of the world in quality?
Erick van Egeraat and Leendert Bikker have, together with other entrepreneurs, taken the initiative to bring the World Expo in 2025 to Rotterdam. The theme of this expo is: Changing Currents / Deltas in Transition, aiming to make Rotterdam the pioneer in a comprehensive transition of the economy and to change the way we are living, thinking and working.
The legacy of this Expo will not be a series of empty buildings, but new opportunities and connections.

We look forward meeting you!
