After almost finishing the four buildings of the master plan by Erick van Egeraat, now the execution of the landscape design of the central inner courtyard, the “Ichthushof” has started. Besides the potentials of the site it was the quality of the design of the heart of this master plan area, which attracted the occupants of the individual buildings. The roof of the metro tube that surfaces at the very end of the site, is no longer an obstacle but an attractive vegetated and accessible element which enables fluid connections of the area. A rich variety of plants and trees will be alternated with paved paths and areas to allow for a quiet and natural area amidst the office buildings, university and the harbor. The plan is scheduled for opening October 2010.
