This October, the light installation of the Waste to Energy Plant in Roskilde, Denmark, won the third prize in category Best Exterior Scheme of the Darc Awards.
The jury awarded prize for the light façade that is an integral part of the façade design by Erick van Egeraat. The light design was further elaborated in close cooperation with light artist Gunver Hansen. This is the third award the Waste to Energy Plant has won for its light facade, following the Media Architecture Biennale Award for Best Animated Architecture in 2014 and the A+ Popular Choice Award in the category Architecture + Light in 2015.
