Vershina Trade & Entertainment Center one of Russia’s most important new buildings

Vershina Trade & Entertainment Center, designed by Erick van Egeraat, is honorably chosen as one of the most important architectural projects in Russia.

The Russian “World realty” portal prepared the list of the 8 most important architectural projects in Russia in 2012. The Vershina project gained the 4th place in this list and is accompanied by several other famous projects like the Gorky Park in Moscow, The “Icepalace” in Sochi and the Russian Bridge connecting the island Russkiy with Vladivostok.

Vershina Trade & Entertainment center was officially opened in 2011 and is located on a prominent location in Surgut, Russia. The building with its eight stories height cover over 35,000m2. The award-winning concept for the building is based on the dialectical play between dark and light, solid and transparent, and open and closed elements, resulting in an introverted building with several strategically positioned transparent cuts in the façade.
