The IMOCOM building will be, without a doubt, an important urban element. Shaping one of the busiest and most pre-eminent areas of Parque Expo. Finishing the Arcade that defines the public promenade of the D. Joao II Avenue. The building gains the role of the main character through its location and exposure. The Arcade, the public space, the platform, and a corner with an awkward round shape were some of the urban ingredients to solve problems along with the proposed program.
The building is formed by the three volumes, with a second skin embracing the building, giving these volumes unity and protection against direct sun exposure. Each floor consists of two ‘’parcels’’, adding a flexible component to the whole. The floors can be occupied by bridges, located in the atrium.
