We are very pleased that our project the University Church of Leipzig has been awarded in category “Conversation” within the frame of European Heritage Awards/ Europa Nostra Awards 2020.
The center of attention this time is the “Epitaph Project” of the Kunstodie of Leipzig University that had been going on between 2002-2017.
From the authors “The unique ensemble of funerary epitaphs has recently been restored and is now presented in a new building, reminiscent of and on the site of the original University Church of Leipzig. The new solution to present the artworks and their reassembly acknowledges how they were originally intended to be displayed”
